No I think you may be correct. Although I want to get problems fixed properly there’s a limit to my skills. ——————————

I’ll see what they say. They seem a very good supplier. ——————————

I wouldn’t be averse to doing all that work but my problem is that I need my Defender for work. I can’t keep it off the road for weeks on end. ——————————

Ah... That would be a problem, it's not a quick job, especially if you find "extra" stuff that needs attention... Brake pipes and fuel pipes and many other things added to my rebuild, I'm trying to do a thorough job.... I don't want to be doing this job again 😊

You might get lucky and find that the crossmember is all that's needed.
When l did my 110 mid crossmember there was nothing else needed attention.

l had to cut the corner off those brackets to get the new one in though.

Be careful jacking anything using bricks, it's a definite no-no. They tends to crumble which will cause the load to drop, and this has killed people in the past. Use wood blocks instead.

It was opportune to read this. We just had a guy killed on his driveway propping his Landcruiser on bricks. Found by his stepson, so, please girls and guys "lets be careful out there".
