I saw on a tv programme in the US when they had that problem with a big wheel and tyre they actually drove a truck wheel onto the tyre to do that.

In effect using the vehicle weight to get it on.
Mind you a lot can go wrong with that but they did in in super quick time!

Then the bead was set in no time after that as well. So that was the issue yours had by the sound of it.
With mine it went on the boost rims fine but the bead seal was the pain getting it set to inflate. I think it was a 35” tyre or something like that. Shocked Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

My cooper discoverers have done about 30k now and have recently developed a 60mph ish wobble. Would people recommend rebalancing, small beads through the valve or unseating them and putting big beads in?

Just spoke to the guys at dyna bead; super helpful. Thought is that I actually have too much weight on there. I’ve got 125g weights on the rims and 6oz of beads. They would recommend 6oz of beads and no weights, so I’ll mark them up, take them off and see how it is. Watch this space.

Did you sort this Col?

It's not clear from their website if the stated quantities are per wheel or per vehicle? Did you put 6oz in each wheel?

EDIT - Just spoke to them, it's per wheel Embarassed

Cheers. Rgds.

I couldn’t get them to overcome the imbalance from where the tyres were fitted by an incompetent fitter! Took them to someone that knows what they are doing and they are balanced perfectly without the need for beads.

Ah. Put them in the front, then. For info I found I needed approx 8oz (225g) of beads in each of my 255/85 BFG KM2s, so you may need more than you expect.

Same for 285/75/16 tyres Thumbs Up
