Front seat swap over
Hi,

Have had a search but cannot find any info on this.

I have a TD5 commercial, 2001. Drivers seat is knackered (back and base) but passenger one is almost unused.

Base is of course and easy swap but does anyone know if the front seats are interchangeable so I can swap the upright section (which I guess means the whole frame) over as well ?

Thanks

Interesting question, the most obvious problem would be the lever to adjust the seat back would be on the wrong side.
Seat belt receiver would be ok...try it!

Yes, I clocked the seat back lever but to be honest, it never gets moved once its set, so I thought that would be OK.

Guess I was being a bit lazy and asked before trying it in case someone has and the bracket bolts didnt line up or something.

If no one posts with experience of trying this, I will give it a go and post an update on what happens

I changed mine recently and from memory all 4 bolts are the same on each side.

For anyone who is thinking of this, it works fine. The recline lever for the seat is a bit tight but as long as you are not adjusting it all the time its ok to live with. Seat is lots more comfortable !
