Front interior door light wiring
What route does the cable from interior light door switch take ? I need to replace the wire but other than being inside the kick panel I am not sure what route the wire takes. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I dont know if it helps but one of mine was broken and wouldnt set off the alarm or interior light.

As a temporary repair I ran a wire from the door pin on the broken side up the A pillar and behind the dash top to the wire on the opposite side. End result is both doors operate the light and the alarm again. It was 3 yrs ago and it works so well I've left it. 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)

If it is the O/S front wire, it will probably go to the ECU.

has the switch gone on the bink or the light loom? I did buy a loom for my TDi for the rear, so its here gathering dust. ( just plugs into the loom on the roof) mine had rotted out badly The door switches you can rob off any rover. I robbed mine off my rover metro. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

The switches are not expensive if you need them. About £2 each if I remember right 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car)
