I'm disappointed with that shower thing - I thought it was plumbed in and powered in some way, not a plastic box with a hand pump.

These videos are very misleading because if you go to the configurator and check the Country Pack there are no side steps included, they are dealer fit accessories and are not even listed in the accessories sections yet. I fancied the Country Pack but out of the items in it all I would really want is the wheel arch protection and the mud flaps which are far cheaper if purchased from the dealer as individual items. One thing I would really like is HUD but it isn’t listed as an option on any model but only as standard on the X version. I put that down to the usual glitches that JLR builds into its on-line configurator. £200 for an old weed killer bottle recycled and a hozelock sprayer added is really taking the mick too Pangea Green D250 90 HSE with Air Suspension, Off-road Pack, Towing Pack, Black Contrast roof , rear recovery eyes, Front bash plate, Classic flaps all round, extended wheel arch kit and a few bits from PowerfulUK Expel Clear Gloss PPF to come
2020 D240 1st Edition in Pangea Green with Acorn interior. Now gone - old faithful, no mechanical issues whatsoever ever but the leaks and rattles all over the place won’t be missed!

These videos are verging on comedy. How can they talk so seriously and dramatically about some cheap plastic add ons? With the tone of voice, you would think they were describing the latest anti-aircraft weapons system to defend Eastern Europe or something, not a Go Outdoors tent and a garden sprayer. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I’m delighted. The serious voice says the mud flaps are.......Land Rover branded 🙄. It would be a bit frikkin odd if they had Suzuki on. Who comes up with this chuff?

Anyhoo, the more I see of the vehicle itself, forgetting the plastic add on and very likely to break side steps, the more I like the shape of it. I liked the shape of D3 and D4 we had, just the electrics and mechanicals let them down. Is the new Defender much lighter than a D4?

I think the mick taking on pricing goes way beyond the shower option.
The whole vehicle is clearly priced to attract only the most affluent of customers and does nothing to fill the gap left by the old Defender. Big Cry Big Cry

Is there a 'Salon Pack' option, with Land Rover branded 12V curling tongs, a hairdryer and ceramic straighteners?

Or are they standard across the range....

Sorry, that's my last hairdresser joke until I see one in the flesh to decide if it's justified or not.

In a way I think it's good that it's so different to the series/90/110/Defender of old as at least we have the true ones with honesty/simplicity/adaptability and sustainability as standard unlike modern monocoque designs. Cool

On the other hand it would have been good to see LR compete with the pickup market and produce something to retrieve the utility sales with a Hilux/ranger vehicle surely this would have been easy and would have sold well at the right price. This would also be more worthy of the Defender name in my opinion.

I think land rovers rinse system is one of these with a fancy landrover jacket.
