I have the same set-up, water tight, from the top of the snorkel to engine. I also think it improves engine response too, but that could be just me justifying the cost to myself Thumbs Up

Blimey that’s smart Thumbs Up I didn’t think I needed one but i do I do Big Cry but not at that price Rolling with laughter

When has ‘need’ ever come into your decision making process vis-a-vis your mods/upgrades?

I’d suggest there are a lot more influencing factors before ‘need’:

Does it look nice?
Does it make mine faster?
More powerful?
Better handling?
Does it look nice?
Is it well engineered?
Has my wife just bought something for the horse?
Hasn’t it been at least a week since I last bought a mod?
Does it sound good?
Does it look nice?
Didn’t I see one on the forum?
Does it fit on a 90?
Do I need it?

I’m desperately wanting the Nugget air box but I can’t quite bring myself to part with the cash ! At £528 it’s hard to swallow as Nugget Australia sell it for £391 . Obviously that’s without VAT and postage ! Perhaps we should try a group buy ??

Today I’m fitting the Provent 200 and decided on mounting it as Blackwolf has done , it seems rather convoluted to put it on the passenger side .
I think I’ve made up some suitable brackets . I’ve noticed that in Oz you can buy the whole kit to fit 2.2 &2.4 including a bracket

You wouldn't need to, but if you plan on extensive wading, it is a very good idea to do something to improve the stock breathers (not forgetting the fuel tank breather).

Wayne at nugget made a prototype kit for my 300tdi which has similarities with the td5. i wrote a longish article on the positive impact of a donaldson topspin head on the RAI, and 3 inch tube using the nugget kit all the way through to the 3 inch intake on a military wolf/donaldson air filter box. see https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic61830.html for more. 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent

[quote="bankz5152"]If you have ABS there isnt enough space to run a 4" hose biggest I could fit was 3"

Heres my set up.

3.5" snorkel leading to a 4" hose direct to the air box. Airbox has been whittled out for maximum air flow.

Hi, who made the tube and wingtop plate and elbow? i'd like to lose the tube from the side of my 110 and get it onto the wingtop. thanks. 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent

@foxhound: love your snorkel Thumbs Up

I think the wingtop tube might be part of the Nakatanenga kit. Herero 4x4 also do a similar one and call it "snorkel sportivo".
