BBUS Chirping
Vehicle came back my independent 4x4 garage toady after 4 days with the battery disconnected and now when the ignition is first turned on the BBUS chirps once!!

Garage says they can't find a fault anywhere and they haven't been anywhere near the alarm.....suspect could be low battery but is that low battery on the main vehicle battery or the BBUS and why would it start to happen after the 4 days in the garage?

If it is a low battery will it re-charge itself once its been driven for a few days and the chirp will go away?

Vehicle is 2012 2.2 Puma.

Thoughts?

Cheers Harry

Mine does that when it's not been used for a while, once it's been out for a decent run it goes away.

So is it the main battery in the vehicle that needs to charge back up or the one in the BBUS?

Wifey's Discovery Sport is off to the stealers on Friday as it keeps telling us that the main battery is low and we should start the engine. Once we get the low battery warning, every time we open a door the alarm chirps. Never does it normally, only when battery is low so may well be the same with Puma 2.2 that the BBUS is reacting to low battery voltage. Defender 90XS SW

Yes, its the main battery letting you know its a bit low. Give it a charge overnight and the chirping should stop

Just been back to garage to get the main battery checked.....Its giving a reading of 97% and everything else connected to the system checks out fine......So, the chirping sound from the BBUS can't be low battery level from the main battery?! It surely must be indicating that the battery within the BBUS is low? Thoughts anyone...……...
