You can make a puller out of a small offcut of steel with two appropriately drilled holes and two m6 bolts

Thats what I did . and it worked really well - just make sure that the metal is thick !!

If you are just replacing the switch all you need to remove the plastic shroud. Ten minute job for S.H.M.B.O. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

Isn't that stressing the plastic clip rather a lot though? That's what is broken on mine is that palstic collar.

So repalcment Lucas switch arrived, all seemed to work as expected.

Fitting streight forward.

Has solved the problem of no head lights so very happy plus added bonus of a much more robust, solid feeling action.

Only issue is when indicating now, the trailer light flashes for a moment when you first indicate, it did not do this on the old stalk. Nothing else changed... at least not on perpose.

Any ideas?

It’s supposed to do that, so no worries.

In that case the indicator stalk was faulty.

Interesting, and a relief I don't have to do the whole thing again.

Thanks all.
