Isn't that stressing the plastic clip rather a lot though? That's what is broken on mine is that palstic collar.

So repalcment Lucas switch arrived, all seemed to work as expected.
Fitting streight forward. Has solved the problem of no head lights so very happy plus added bonus of a much more robust, solid feeling action. Only issue is when indicating now, the trailer light flashes for a moment when you first indicate, it did not do this on the old stalk. Nothing else changed... at least not on perpose. Any ideas? |

In that case the indicator stalk was faulty.

Yup, trailer light should flash once. Yours is now working correctly
