Idle jack not working?
For some reason the idle jack isn't kicking in. Anti-stall works fine with the engine running at 750 rpm but I'm fairly sure it used to run at 950 going up to 1100.

Any ideas?

It's a 2010 110

In high. Only noticed it when I was stuck in traffic. Haven’t tried low range yet.

Idle Jack is a low range feature. Cheers

Idle Jack? - I think I used to work with him! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

Oh. Didn’t know that. Well it used to work in high for me and was very helpful in traffic.

^^ In that case you had a fault which has now gone away!

Idle jack is definitely only active in low range. Anti-stall is active all the time when there is no throttle input in either range.

Hmmm.... don't know that I agree that idle jack in a low-range-only feature... or that then means my car has a fault too! Very Happy

My idle speed increases by around 100 or 200 RPM in high range if the car is moving more than snails pace. MY10 2.4 Puma.

My interpretation is "your engine idle speed increases by around 100 or 200 RPM once the vehicle is moving more than a snail's pace". To use layman's terms.... Smile

Mine has a very small idle jack in high range. As soon as the car rolls the idle rpm lifts ever so slightly. Nothing like as much as low range but it is definitely there. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
