No Power, Engine Lamp Illuminated, 2 DTCs : P2263 + P0101
Yesterday my 2.2 puma lost power & the engine lamp came on. Sad

Two fault codes recorded: P2263 & P0101

Anyone had this combination? Any ideas?

Intercooler hoses probably causing them.
Same codes three different times in the past.
Two hoses and and intercooler.

P0101-16 Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor “A” Circuit Range/Performance -Circuit voltage below threshold

Possible Causes: Intake system blocked/leaking Mass air flow and temperature sensor circuit short circuit to ground, open circuit, high resistance Mass air flow and temperature sensor internal failure

Action: Check the intake system for blockages/leaks. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the mass air flow and temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, open circuit, high resistance Install a new mass air flow and temperature sensor as necessary

P2263-21 Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost System Performance- Signal amplitude < minimum

Possible Causes: Intake system blocked/leaking Manifold absolute pressure and temperature sensor fault Variable geometry turbine vane actuator fault Turbocharger failure

Action: Check the intake system for blockages/leaks, check for manifold absolute pressure and temperature sensor related DTCs and perform the relevant corrective actions Check the variable geometry turbine vane actuator linkage. Check the turbocharger bearing and oil seal. Install a new turbocharger as necessary.

Cut and pasted the above from B.A.S. website.

Yes I've had them together - split intercooler hose and dead MAP sensor.

Hope that helps Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Would this cause a P2263?
Had a limp home evening yesterday in my ‘12 reg 2.2 Puma - very frustrating. Looked under the bonnet today and there appears to be a 1cm slot in one of the hoses ... see pic. Would this be the cause? No other codes, just the P2263.
Tempted to replace all the hoses ... recommendations?
Much appreciated!
Jas

Jas

I replaced all my hoses on Monday this week with ones from BAS. High quality items but in fairness anything of quality does cost that bit more. The service from Pete was amazing, I’m very impressed with them.

I have kept all the old hoses that I removed, they were fine but because I did the intercooler I upgraded the hoses, if you would like the old hoses your very welcome to them for the cost of the postage Thumbs Up 2015 HT XS 90

That’s really kind of you - though to be honest I think you’re right to replace them all with aftermarket hoses, and I’ll very likely do the same; BAS provided silicone hoses, I assume? From all I’ve read the factory tubes are really not up to the job.
Thanks for the heads up! Thumbs Up
