2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Chawton White

Ecu Reflashing

Please, a few questions to those with immense knowledge on 2.4 TDCI

Why would you need to reflash the PCM (is it ECU, ECM OR PCM?) ?
Is it compulsory to do it with the SDD and online?
What in the PCM could lead to a failure in the process? is it straight forward if you have the necessary software and hardware and if you know wht you are doing?
