I couldn’t agree more about Today and John Humphries. I find his interviewing style cringe worthy. Thank goodness he is Leaving.
Eddie Mair was outstanding and a big loss to R4. I do like Evan Davis and missed him when he left Today for Newsnight. Radio 4 is what I like to listen to, but their playlist is terrible |

Eddie Mair is now on LBC at a similar time......get one of those 'DAB' wireless thingermejobs and you will no longer be at sea. In addition you can listen to many hours of ruddy face angry men calling in to vent their discussed at pretty much the world in general, mainly because the Daily Mail told them to......
Think LBC may also be on MW if you like the retro hollow sounding radio. |

Never did like radio 1 as too much inane rubbish and childish nonsense. Put up with radio 4 in a works van for years which literally put me to sleep (I didn't have to drive the van) and couldn't listen to it now.
Stopped listening to radio all together when a court case was in the news that I was obliquely connected with, didn't want to hear it so put my ipod to good use. Recently tried to go back and can't bear it, so classic FM is the station for me now! 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Car crash radio. Couldn’t listen to that after the great Pick of the Pops with Paul Gambachini. A proper DJ. |

Back in the day I can remember Sir Terry saying that it was our BBC.

I've migrated to Virgin with CE and discovered DAB radio in the car. All great as long as I don't go South! I know I'm in sleepy Suffolk but signal South of A14 is terrible! Anything you can do to improve it? James

Depends if you have an amplified DAB aerial or not. If you already do then very little I’d have thought.
Reception can be patchy what ever set up you have dependant on location. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨🔧🧰⚙️ And if You Love the Country, then we’re on the same side ~ I got’ love for Britain, I got’ British pride’. 🇬🇧 |

Being of a certain age, I listen to Absolute 80’s. It was on DAB in the east, and then it got removed.
I used to listen in both me and the wife’s car and I never had an issue (except on the Norfolk/Suffolk border on the A11. That was the same for all DAB a few years back) It seems they have put Absolute 80’s back on DAB. Tried to listen a couple of weeks ago in the car and it was terrible. In fact, unlistenable to on the move. I have been on Radio forums and reception does seem to bedependant on which bit of the DAB band (and I presume how much you pay?) the station is given. The BBC one’s seem to be as solid as a rock. I have never bothered changing to a DAB radio in the LR. But it is on the list to do. |

Had a search around on DAB on my work radio Friday, and was surprise how many stations were available.
Was more suprised to notice that there is Gay radio. Why? Could find straight radio though. |

Not got DAB in the LR, but standard fit in the in the modern company car. Normal journey to office is fine but going South of Stowmarket or Bury st Edmunds big holes in signal make it impossible to listen to it. Not overly impressed with this t3chnological 'advance. James

DAB is not much use in most of Scotland. Even FM is crap in the highlands - you can get national BBC stations in most areas but not much else. Save the invariably awful local commercial radio.
