I think Sara Cox is the only thing I like about Radio 2 - but again, it's probably a generational thing. Steve Wright and Ken Bruce just spend the time making dreadful embarrassing dad jokes - Steve Wright particularly rubs me up the wrong way with his sycophantic interviews and just plain reading press releases instead of actually saying anything interesting. Jeremy Vine is full of every retired Daily Mail reader calling up for a moan because they've got nothing better to do.
Radio 4 or 6 are the only stations I listen to and sometimes Radio 3. https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews |

Only ever listen in the car or at home to the radio for news/ I just play music either CD's or via Blue tooth from my phone while travelling. It always amazes me why someone would want to listen to other individuals choice of music. As for the witty banter between songs well I have heard more intelligent conversation from toddlers. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I like Sara cox, at least she’s real, jo whiley and Simon Mayo we’re just so dull it was unreal, ken Bruce don’t get me started.. at least you can shout at Jeremy vine.. I listen to radio x, bit of Chris moyles and Jonnie Vaughan again at least they have a genuine non pc opinion.. I’m 46 by the way, and feel a bit let down by the bbc radio service, only so much grown up radio 4 I can listen to..

Defo gone down hill. What Tw6t at the BBC put Jo Willinglystupid with Simon Mayo forcing him to leave?
Can't stand the drone of Sarah Cox so it's the off switch for me. And Zoe Ball..... she thinks she's still 12 in 1984. And putting Jo WhatIamdumbandincoherant on instead of Ken Bruce. Come on BBC, stop mucking about otherwise men of a certain age will just listen to their cassettes whilst driving. Cheers Don. |

The reason this a big improvement to me is that I've been clinging onto radio 1 despite being in my 40s just because there was nothing else that didn't make me feel ancient. radio 2 always sounded like it was for the elderly until recently. Now I feel like there at least some programmes with presenters from my generation. They still need to dump some of the old. timey music that crops up occasionally. I generally hate commercial radio, always sounds like amateur hour. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I shall try listening to these wireless stations to see what you are all talking about, once I've found some new valves for my crystal set.
Incidentally, has Alvar Lydell retired yet? |

Zoe ball ! who wants to wake up to that !, she seems too stuck in the 80/90s even though shes getting on, and how close can you get to a mullet without having a full blown one, who the hell offered her the job, she is terrible, so now im listening to R4, which is slightly better

Easy solution? Be like me and talk loudly to yourself and then listen to your own music on iTunes 👍
