I had one of those MG Maestros with the electronic dash! I was about eighteen at the time, and it felt like I was driving the future Laughing Darren

It was a Dystopian future where all the electrics (and the engine, and all the other components) failed. Laughing
I remember my neighbour bought one of the talking Maestros the day it came out, with 10 year old me staring through the windows thinking it was like Knight Rider's Kitt..

Before everyone gets too excited, some more info here:

Update: I reached out to Land Rover’s PR people here in the U.S., who informed me that this was “not part of a PR operation” and that the image in question is an “older out-of-date internal photo.” But as to how old, and in what way it is out of date, company reps declined to comment on.

I "WAS" going to say, "the image can't be real", & I was about to post that, but someone has just beaten me to it,... I see that the post 2nd before mine has already revealed that it isn't, so I can only say, I agree!

Anyone know where I can buy a "stop" sticker to upgrade the look of my defender?

I'm sure some enterprising company will be along shortly with one that's been machined from aerospace grade billet aluminium. Darren

Truly awful...it hardly smacks of a hardworking piece of kit, I'll stick to this timeless dash.

I’m counting about 3 positive and 101 negative responses to that picture. Good job JLR couldn’t give a dam.
