Battery life
2008 Puma still on the original factory supplied battery. Anyone else getting this longevity from their battery? I've probably jinxed it now.... Whistle 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Mine was good for 10 years. A quality anomaly. Puma 110" SW

I've just replaced my original from 2009... probably would have lasted longer if I use it more regularly.

Yes - my 2007 still on it's original, although it's touch-&-go on cold morning starts if not driven for a couple of days beforehand.
Now we are into milder weather, I bet it would have seen me through until next winter, but I bought I new one a few weeks ago in anticipation of it's demise, so might as well fit now I've got it...
12-ish years though, not bad.

Don't forget to take your old ones to the local scrapyard, don't leave them with the supplier or take them to the tip. You might as well have the money back in your pocket.

When we replaced four of our narrow boat batteries in 2017 they offered to take the old ones away free, which I politely declined. I got £45 for them at the scrappy.

Trust me, I'm a plumber!

2008 original up and crapped itself end of 2018 - started to get hints of issues nearer the start of the year however... Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

Mines still original, no signs of issues but I rarely put any load on it or drive at night or any scenario other than start up putting much load on it.

Mole Valley Farmers recently had a scheme for old batteries. (Any old lead acid batteries.) that they would take and pay you for it.
I can't remember if it was a limited time thing or permanent but I know there was an offer on.

Only of use if your in the SW though.
