For anyone that has had to endure being preached at by a vegan or vegetarian see here for all your future rebuttals.
A friend sent it to me the other day and being a proud producer of Angus beef I feel compelled to share. |

Agree.
But be aware - that was a vegan attempting to tempt us away from beef/lamb/pork/chicken and even fish. Luckily she saw the light. Right now perhaps a lucky guy somewhere around the world is nibbling on a lamb chop nestled in her cleavage. |

It’s a bit like religion. Generally we can all agree to disagree or politely ignore.
Last weekend though I had to endure some fairly constant barbs about how could I possibly face being associated with beef farming. I literally had one older lady say she almost didn’t want to speak to me because we grew beef! So when I saw this I had to laugh. |

I've been a vegetarian for 30+ years & never preached to anyone about it. Actually my wife & I are both vegetarian, but we brought our 4 kids up to eat meat, because it's a matter of personal choice for them. Similarly it's a matter of personal choice whether to drive a
 normal car like most people, or instead to join the minority driving a defender. I've never preached to anyone about their choice of car either. |

That's exactly my point, all freedom of choice and there is no right or wrong it's up to individuals what they feel is best for them.
I can't however stand those who tell others what to believe in or what is right or wrong, and that argument will always be the accuser is right and the accused wrong. Agree with this. I'm a meat eater however I'm selfishly hoping more people turn vegan or vegetarian. Better for the planet plus it would reduce obesity which drains billions out of the NHS. Wouldn't dream of preaching to anyone but happy to thank a vegan for their lifestyle choice with a vegan sausage roll or two. |

Trouble is that plants too feel pain when they are cut so why do they eat them if they use the same arguments against meat?

I am not a vegetarian / vegan, but one of the take away's I frequent is highly rated by that community in our area.
While waiting for my meal one evening, we got chatting about food allergies (my Mum is Coeliac so cannot take products with gluten in them). This take-away is very good with gluten free ingredients as the Chef's Son also suffers. The conversation got round to vegetarians. He explained that their kitchen had a vegetable stock pot and meat stock pot. This way, he could guarantee the finished product was indeed vegetarian/ vegan. If you are vegetarian or vegan, it may be worth asking whether or not the kitchen has a separate stack pot? I wonder? Not the fault of the vegetarian's among you all, but a bug bear of ours is the general lack of idea from a fair proportion of food establishments what is actually in their products. Although unpalatable to you, no one is going to get ill if you are slipped a meal with something meat derived within it. I believe the Pret incident shows what happens when you get it wrong for someone with a medical condition? Vegetarian's seem to be catered for rather well, even if sometimes the vegetable lasagna is a bit predictable. Some places are just gormless or as happened with my Mum a couple of weeks ago, had to explain to a large pub chain that one of their offerings from their gluten free menu couldn't possibly be. The Manageress of the Pub had to agree. It's all a bit scary isn't it? |
