After buying mine I saw these and wondered the same.
For a full set with galv brackets, the money is pretty good but personally I’d go with the blank ones |

Are the 110 rears an improvement on the originals from a structural perspective? If not then go for a set from Gwyn Lewis - galvanised, extremely well engineered, makes the mud flap easily removable and includes mud shield protection for the rear crossmember:

As above I had a full set of Gwyn Lewis mud flaps fitted 4 years ago. No problems at all and the brackets still look new.

I have bought a pair of their stainless steel gloss black brackets and fitting which are great for the front of the 110 when I fitted new mud flaps product are service was good but when I do the rears I am using the gwyn Lewis kit.

They look too long, first time you reverse out of a hole you will rip them off.
Got Gwyn Lewis on mine as well and found it to be well thought out, robust and with clear instructions |

Gwyn Lewis rear flaps also give you the option of removing them really simply if you are in a position to rip them off.
I have the fronts and rears, plus all of the mud shields fitted and only have praise for them. That's not to say that the Tuff Rox ones aren't any good, but the Gwyn Lewis ones definitely are |

Another +1 on the Gwyn Lewis kit, it's as good as it should be.

I wonder if this may be of interest:
https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic29386.html I quickly took off the original rear mudflaps as the turbulence between them and my plastic liners made everything filthy immediately. I also extended the bottoms of the rear liners with some rubber sheet. They've been on for over four years now and still work very well. I must point out though that the only time I go 'off road' is if I have to park slightly on a pavement or run onto the grass verge to allow other vehicles to pass on narrow country lanes. I would hesitate to go anywhere in it now that I'd have barely noticed on my trail bike many years back. You can buy ready made rear arch liners here: https://www.lokari.de/epages/62716287.sf/e...-0879-0880 |

I'd forgotten all about your old thread, Joe. I've gone the full 'Gwyn Lewis' everywhere else but it's reminded me that I was going to make some flaps to shield the ends of the front bumper, so thanks for that. Darren

No problem Darren. The flaps I made to protect the front bumper have worked a treat over the years. I'm surprised Gwyn hasn't offered these himself.
I upgraded the bumper to a 5mm thick one from First Four Off Road a couple of years back, but the original one (coated in Dynax S50 inside from new) was still pretty much perfect when I removed it as the majority of the muck couldn't get in. |

I've now fitted a galv bumper but I'd still like to keep the crud out of the exposed cavity. Darren
