Just to add in here, that looks like the Snap-Off QR, I have used this every day for the last 4 years, it was one of the first things I did to my Defender, I absolutely love it, effectively zero Play with the Tapered Pins, 1 second removal time for Steering Wheel, <2 seconds to replace....so you just use it. I don't understand why more Defenders don't fit this type of security device.

Send my sales commission ibexman to Martin as a forum donation Thumbs Up

does this adaptation push the steering wheel further away from the dash?
If so I guess bulkhead removal is a must if you average height or above?

The Snap Off has a 6 X 74mm PCD arrangement to work with a Suitable Steering Wheel.
I replaced the Standard LR Boss for a more compact option, matching my interior, and to give a combined
Steering Wheel Position just a few mm further than the original.

My Defender came with the Startech Steering Wheel, I just added the Boss and the QR Mechanism.
The Snap Off is 27.6mm thick on its own.
