Now that the wheels have been blackened I will be getting my silver "bits" (as y'all say) painted black. Have a quote for 1000 bucks to do it which feels super reasonable to me.

It's difficult at times to get through his videos but he does have some interesting points underlying the basic expletive-laden theme.

Now this poses the problem in the U.K. specific to New Defender - is Land Rover ltd the importer of a car made by a 3rd party in Slovakia or is it considered to be the manufacturer........ or in U.K. law is there no difference between importer and manufacturer? Are you referring to the recent rules of origin (Brexit) issue rather than this Australian consumer law case?

Not sure it matters ~ in the Australian case, the vehicle owner only took the dealer to court. It appears it was the dealer that dragged the importer into the Dock because Australian law allowed them to do so and indemnify themselves financially. Not sure if there is a separate UK entity for import purposes but I believe that the importer in Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of JLR. |

I see that LR are still subsidizing US sales with profits from UK and Europe 🙄 Price starts at $50K vs £45K, so a £7K discount for shipping it 3000+ miles...
