headlining removal... tips before i f**k something up. i'd like to remove/refit the headling section just above the driver/passenger, in order to mark, drill and attach two small cargo nets above the seats for sunglasses, tat etc. i've got the right plastic clip 'tugger', and see that the mirror unclips and the sunvisors unscrew. what else do i need to know, before i set to... tips and advice anyone

I would also get a few spare clips just in case any break. PITA if you are left with sagging roof because the last clip snapped off... mounted a dvd player for the kids right in the middle, and had sweaty hands the whole time! good luck 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey

willy eckerslike Member Since: 15 Jun 2009 Location: North yorks Posts: 1789	Be aware the clips are £2.86 each You may find that the screws that hold the mounting plate for the mirror just turn in their holes. Wear gloves to stop dirty oily finger prints getting everywhere. Whislt you are in there put some clear waxoyl round the holes that are roughly drilled for the plastic fir tree clips. Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper
