OK, that suggests to me that the compressor is not engaging.

Could be a number of causes for this. Unless you have a meter to test for voltage, it will be difficult to diagnose on a campsite in Germany Sad

If you had it re-gassed by a competent technician and they didn't detect any leaks, then the chances are it has enough gas in the system. Especially as you say it didn't work after the re-gas. Did the technician make any suggestions?

So if we assume for now there is enough gas in the system, then it is going to be electrics related.

The 1st thing I would check if I had a voltmeter would be to see if the compressor is receiving a 12v feed when the aircon is 1st switched on. If so, it is likely to be the electric clutch in the compressor that has failed.

If no voltage, then it could be any one of several faults.

Here's the wiring diagrams I found for the 2.4 Puma but I suspect the 2.2 is similar :

There are a number of fuses, relays, switches associated with the regular blower circuit and also the aircon.
It would be a case of working through the wiring diagram, checking the easiest items first for 12v or a lack of, to diagnose what's gone wrong.

The system was re-gassed at my local Kwik-fit, I asked if the system was holding pressure & was assured that it was. The guys there didn’t have any idea to what the fault was but didn’t even charge so more than fair.
Will check there’s 12v at the plug in the morning & take it from there. Just like to say how much I appreciate the help from members on here.

Check Fuse 28 (20Amp) as well Timcat . That's the fuse which covers the compressor and air con cooling fan relays. If the fuse is good, locate those two relays shown on the wiring diagram (R181 & R117) and feel/listen to them to see if they click when the A/C button is pressed. I can't remember if the electric cooling fan runs all the time on mine when the air con is switched on, or if it only cuts in when needed.

If fuse 28 is good and the R181 relay doesn't click, then it could be the relay that has failed. In which case there won't be 12v at the compressor. Or it won't click if the ECM is not sending a signal to it , due to an open circuit from either the thermostatic switch or trinary switches shown on the diagram.

Might be worth checking for a click on the relay 1st before testing for 12v at the compressor.

Either way will work. If the compressor is getting power then the relay is working, if it isn't then check the relay.

Right, checked the power at the compressor & nothing. Back to the board & nothing from the relay, I’m not great with electrics but pulled both 10A & 20A fuses again which were fine so checked there was power there which there was. Put two new fuses in and hey presto power at the compressor & aircon up and running😬😬 Out of interest I swapped the fuses around and found the 20A hadn’t blown but wasn’t letting power through it ( had the same problem with my 690 KTM last year)
So, many thanks to all that have helped it will make the world of difference in the cab.

I have had blade fuses in the past, where they test as ok on a continuity test, but won't let power through. I've never worked out why!

Off topic.....

What roofrack do you have please? I'm looking at getting the ostrich wing but will have to make my own brackets for fixing it. Just wondered how you attached yours.

Glad you got the Aircon working Thumbs Up

It’s the Landrover expedition one, my brother fabricated some last minute mounts for it the day before we left. What rack have you got?

Depending on how high you want to mount it you could drill straight through the top rail ( guessing 25mm+ box section) As for the institutions they’re super vague, what a great product you won’t be disappointed. Pm me & I’ll send you some mounting pics.
