Lightforces- quick question
Currently fitting some Lightforce 170 ( a pair) to the front of my landy, and i was wondering what size fuses to use? Im using 40 amp relays for each and some 27 amp wiring, so that should be sufficient.

Any advice ?

James

I run two 100w each Roo Lites on 20A so i would go with that. Or 25A if you feel the need too. If my memory serves me well i thought 100w bulb uses roughly 8 amps so my two use 16 - 17A hence 20A fuse. Check your bulb wattage rating Thumbs Up

Is it not illegal to use 100W bulbs in spotlights on the UK roads? Ben

this sounds retarded, but im assuming the bulb wattage rating would be stamped on the bulb itself right?

As a head light yes but not for aux lights as they shouldn't be on when another vehicle is coming towards you on a road. Thumbs Up Russell

Lightforce 170 lights use a 12V 100 watt Xenophot bulb

100 watt/12 volts = 8.5 amps each So minimum fuse per bulb = 10 amps

Details can be found HERE
