I'm not a fan of LED headlights but those Trucklites look decent. Nice grille too. |

As usual, not a lot to time today but have properly pop riveted the lower grille section into place and added a new badge as a finishing touch to the front end:
 Click image to enlarge LR interior rubber mats fitted to front, rear and load bed. Climair wind deflectors installed: Click image to enlarge LED fog and reverse finally added with just the number plate lamp and side repeaters left to do. For me, no. Send it back! But it's your vehicle to do with as you wish. Unless you NEED it for practical reasons (i.e. climbing all over your bonnet on a regular basis to get to the front of a rack), I don't see any benefit of having it. Dammit! I knew that would be the first response (and probably what I was thinking).
I’m installing a roof rack. Ability to stand on the bonnet would be useful. And it covers a number of pre-existing scratches and dints which helps (and the thinnest coat of paint I’ve ever seen leave a factory). But I’m still not convinced by the look of it.... I can justify it.....I just don’t love it.
Ideal for the roof rack. Ideal for kids on the bonnet. Ideal as it covers a multitude of sins on an otherwise very straight van. But not pretty! 4x4overlander used to be able to supply bonnet steps...
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic12639.html I don't know if they still have them but a possible solution if you don't want to cover the whole bonnet. |
