Can you share the component numbers and more photos of your install?
I'm interested to do this for my phone and trying to figure out a better mounting option for my Garmin unit as the stupid suction cup thing that came with it now falls off at least once a day and it can get annoying especially if you're following it off road and it falls off! Thanks in advance! |

Hi HardCharger, I used the 1inch ball adapter with the 9mm hole in the base here https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/ram-mo...hball.html this fixes to the existing screw mounting at the top of the dash. Then just fit a phone holder or device mount here https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/ram-mo...older.html with the extension arm here https://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/ram-mo...l-arm.html
No drilling required and I have run a charge cable up the dashboard from an existing usb connector from my head unit. Hope that helps. Slightly better picture of the dashboard fixing here Click image to enlarge |
