Fitted the lamps off eBay today, looking good.

Anyone replaced the high level break lamp for a LED version?

I'm sure you could probably change the bulb to LED but as for having it clear as of yet i don't think you can. Luckily for me mine doesn't have high level brake light

I wanted to get Orxy a Xmas present and thought that all-round NAS LED lights would be nice.

From reading this thread it seems that the RDX kit from Bolt-on-bits is not great? I'm referring to this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-RDX-LED-NAS-l...2774wt_905 --

I did, but the mobile centre kit is more than twice the price of the BoB one - 500 vs 200 pounds.

When multiplying by 12 (ZAR to GBP), that's quite a hefty chunk of cash Confused --

I found the WIPAC clear indicators fine in terms of function, but poor in terms of quality - after only a few weeks they started to leak. Had a similar experience with their red tail lamps. After a while the water rots the contacts on the bulb holder and then the pins on the plug snap off, meaning you have to replace the lot.

Had ebay LED bulbs in the front sidelights but they looked quite green so I swapped back. Just looks a bit daft on a Defender IMO.

Seen the bolt on bits LED lamps, but I think the silver finish on them looks hideous. Each to their own...

We discussed this issue with the Wipac lamps recently:

Has anyone tried a silver colour but amber flashing bulb in their indicators to avoid the orangey look of the amber bulb underneath a clear lense?

Yes. I've got mine like that, and I think several others have too.
