thanks very much Mash. that's the right air cleaner box. have you got a page that shows the mounting bracket and part no for the mounting band (P777731, number 8 in the diagram) to fit on? The band is pretty large and needs to screw to something. thanks again 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent |

thanks for this. i reckon the AESP is missing something but i can bodge it.
in UK conditions, especially in the winter or on road, i can't see that the safety element inner filter needs to be used, am I right? not exactly extreme dust at present! 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent |

It should be ok, after replacing a fair few filters like this in uk/ Germany the inner filter is often perfect with only the outer showing any dirt. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html

Il try and do some digging on the mounting if your not in a huge rush
Seem to remember they are mounted at an angle, will trawl through some old photos and ask around to confirm. 90 wolf - Jasmin http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39408.html 90 V8 - Maggie http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic42564.html 110 TD5 - Buggsy http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic59029.html 52HG25 lightweight https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic72342.html D3 Hse - Fiona Capri 2l S - Anna Think I might have a problem............ |

thanks for this Mash
i got mine in this way i used the existing bracket and counter sunk the centre hole and ground the nut so it was flush and used 2 bands as only one end of a band would fit on the bracket to be bolted.
