I was advised to always return to the OE state of tune prior to carrying out any corrections regarding the pump or injectors.

I've always left my no-egr map alone when doing relearns and never had a problem. I cannot see any reason why it would make a difference when you think about what the relearn process is doing.

Yes, I know what you mean, basically you are resetting the values so that the ecu starts its process afresh.
Glad you haven't had any problems leaving the remap on because I don't really want to take it off and put back on just in case the egr doesn't close fully due to it not being used for 6 years ![]() |

^^ this happened to me last week!
Lots of smoke, hardly any power.. Cycled through a few ignition phases, knowing that it would command the 'chakka chakka chakka' and it finally freed up. ![]() A 'just in case' blanking plate is in the mail ![]() |
