2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Stornoway Grey

Good afternoon. I am slowly working my way through a non start puma 2.4 and have looked at a number of threads. I have ordered a lynx Evo tool which should arrive tomorrow and will start looking for a direction to proceed in. All this started when the battery died, I tried to jump start from start charge unit and it failed. Tried every combination of removing the new battery connections and replaced the batteries in the plibs. Plibs not recognised and cannot turn off the immobiliser. 10AS is working interior lights. When I simulate lock from lever inside door card it Central locks. Lock barrel in door is solid and operating link had been removed by previous owners dealer. Under certain conditions I can simulate the temperature gauge going into red when turning ignition key. I was interested in the above link but it fails to find it when I try. The dealer supplied the emergency code but this failed which I understand is regular. Mark Lawton at Lynx Evo tech support has been fantastic with suggestions and I will be checking earth connections behind instruments and connections in general. I am trying to avoid creating more problems by removing and replacing one piece at a time rather than jumping in and unplugging everything. Currently engine not cranking because I think it is simply imobilised.Is there a way of switching off the immobiliser without a plib or an EKA or a diagnostic terminal? The local car thieves appear to manage fairly well. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Regards
