Ok pal Shocked Laughing You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Worse then that is when they change your gender!

My email address is brendan@4x4overlander.com, at the bottom of my email is my full name Brendan with contact details and I sign myself regards, Brendan.

So when I get replies from companies who want us to buy from them who address me as Brenda It does not make a good impression with me. If they make a mistake with my name will they make a mistake with any orders we place?

Brendan

Good call Brendan, I have no idea what you look like, however, I am sure it is a rugged Yorkshire adopted man and let’s face it of all the posters on this forum and there are many, your turn of phrase in your many posts is defiantly male dominated and absolutely not Brenda ordinated.

I would suggest you send them a picture of you sat in your favourite chair supping a glass of Yorkshire's Black Band Porter (one of the best beers I have ever tasted) and add this, ‘yes am I interested in your product mucker and in your offer, if it includes this, If you wud gee me owt 't a 20% offer on deliveries to get em back ome would be acceptable, And to seal the deal add, sup all, pay nowt,'ear all, see all, say nowt and if tha ever does owt for nowt, allus do it for thissen or me to get thy item on me website .

If this works I will expect a heavy discount on your new products , if not I will go to me grainhouse and kick the cucumbers. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

'In Remembrance Birthday Cards’
I really thought I had seen it all with greeting cards and the money grabbing way they go about it with Mothers, Fathers, Grandmas days, age birthday cards, congratulation etc. etc.

But this takes the biscuit 'In Remembrance Birthday Cards' what is that all about sending birthday cards to people allegedly in heaven.

There dead for god’s sake and cannot possibly know you have sent them a card. Just a new money making scheme by the Card manufactures.

Grumble grumble grumble.
Have you ever had "one of those days" which starts with your teabag splitting in your morning tea and then that setting the tone for the rest of the day?

My swivel pin needs replacing in the top of my drivers side swivel. I went on the advice of a local garage for what parts I needed to replace it which they duly supplied. Having done it once before I recognised all the parts I was handed I paied and duly put them in the Land Rover and drove home via Halfords to pick up a ball joint splitter and a 52mm hub nut socket (as I had previously borrowed someone else's)

Nip into Halfords, Phonecall from girlfriend needing something on the way home could I possibly pick it up? Buy the ball splitter, walk out and notice a new pole in the car park, on top of which is mounted 4 new shiny CCTV cameras...humm they are new... walk back to my 110 and yes there is the great big parking notice infront of my 110. Censored Ok read through, allowed 2 hours - fine was here less than 2 minutes, must not obstruct or park on double yellow lines- yep fine. Must park in a marked bay. Humm there are no floor markings. They are rubbed off this part of the carpark. Censored Censored Censored Censored Banging Head Well I'll wait for that in the post then Rolling Eyes

Get home, sort out dinner, have dinner and then go outside to start job. Look through the parts - Censored forgot about hub nut tab washer. Oh well can get one tomorrow at least I have all the tools......oh no 52mm hub nut socket. Banging Head

Nevermind, its not the end of the world, these things happen. Time for a beer.
