Peter, the "four most common holes" are not the holes for the Puma, certainly not the 90 anyway, can't speak for the 110
As already posted, the front riv nuts on a puma can't be used at all, and it would be good if the safe came with shims and bolts really. Then there would be a choice of how to install. |

True, the front two original holes are no longer useful because not reachable.
We habve a lot of Puma vehicles where the 4 holes in the safe fit perfect, mine included. We will add shims, rivnuts and bolts for the future. WANTED: SII or SIII in max 1.5k |

Perhaps it depends on the MY in terms of where the rivnuts are located? Mine is a 10 plate

Fitted mine using rivets for the front two holes. Works a treat, and is nice and rigid.
Took a couple of weeks to get used to the increased height, but love it now! Will post some photos when I get home tomorrow. ![]() 2010 110 XS USW (the slow one) 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta SZ (the fast one) 2005 Ducati ST3 1954 Sunbeam S8 |

Sorry to bring an old thread back to the top - but I've been searching for info on these as I'm trying to work out if this would be a good option instead of replacing the current cubby with a lockable one.
The one thing about using it for stuff like the sat nav etc is way it opens with the cubby fixed to the top - surely this means that anything in the cubby gets thrown about - and the standard cubby box lid is likely to come open as well. Next question - from what I've read it looks as though the safe fits on top of the original transmission tunnel cover plate and therefore there is no part of it recessed into the seat box - is that right? Peter, do you mean they add the cubby to the lid with the angled wooden spacers fitted to keep the cubby box at the original level? John http://www.hampshire4x4response.co.uk 2011 Tdci 110 CSW XS |

I have no problems with accessing the safe for the sat nav etc. I haven't noticed the lid opening on the cubby box or the contents being thrown about. I originally installed the safe on the transmission tunnel lid and found the cubby box sat at too much of an angle to rest my elbow on comfortably when driving. I also didn't want to drill any holes in the TT lid as I want to fit a Eberspacher heater this year and dont want too many holes hence why I refitted the original timber angles to get the cubby to sit as it was, albeit a little higher than it was originally. And after a week or so I stopped cracking my elbow on the cubby box lid every time I changed gear

I also have no trouble with the lid opening, however I did hit my elbow once or twice! But soon learned and now enjoy may comfortable miles with the original land rover cubby box onto of the safe. Russ. Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |
