Why would being a farmer have anything

because cow sh*t accelerates rust Cheers

Thanks JST.. Cow and sheep waste will rot a Defender to dust ten times quicker than salty roads. I once had a Shogun courtesy car and it was previously loaned to a sheep farmer and there was ZERO paint left on the underside and it was the last vehicle Western Motor Group would ever loan to a farmer as the Shogun needed grit blasted before it was 3 months old. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

On my 3rd set of headlight surrounds. I'll get me some of those chrome ones ASAP.

Your mudflap brackets shouldn't have rusted - mines 3.5 years old and they're fine. Try pointing it out to the LR chap next time you're in (they're an accessory and should be covered under warranty).

If not, just paint them yourself - at least you know it'll be done properly. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

My 110 UW is in the stealers for its first service on Monday. Just clicked over 12000 miles.
Engine and drive train have been faultless....... but........
Rust on the Mud flaps seems to be a common issue. The paint has blown on mine and rust is showing.
I have requested they are replaced under warranty. I also have a rear de-mist which is only half working and the key locks
have been hammered by the cold weather/road salt so they are corroding earlier than expected.
I am concerned that some forum users are not getting mud flaps replaced under warranty. I will post an update after the service. Paul

Happy Days Very Happy

Back from first service and very pleased.
Mud flaps - replaced
Locks - replaced all round and new matched set of keys.
Rear glass - replaced
- plus new breather fitted to gas tank.

No fuss or hassle from service desk, warranty covered everything and the vehicle was spotless when I picked it up.
Muddy again now though. Laughing
