Talk to Gwyn Lewis,
![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.gwynlewis4x4.co.uk/ He will tell you all need to know. He also does a very nice kit that raises by 1" but has extra travel that my mate has fitted to his Tdci. He will also tell you that EVERY Landy is different. Andy |

I fitted a 2" lift to my 100" bitsa a few years ago via the yellow springs and pro comp shocks route, it was horrible, ride and handling were pants. Tried other springs still no use, went back to std springs with 50mm spacers and new std ride height shocks plus 3 degree QT arms and it was back to superb, steering self centred again and ride and handling were great.
Next biggest improvement was detroit locker in the back and a true trac in the front - REAL SELF CENTERING STEERING! |

I went for Tarantular arms on my Discovery.... They have some Angle Iron welded to the under side to protect them from rocks (how I bent the origionals in the first place).
I will be going full Gwyn Lewis kit on the Defender though ![]() ![]() *Cough* Group Buy *Cough* Glyn ![]() ![]() Last edited by Glynparry25 on 1st Feb 2011 10:28pm. Edited 2 times in total |

I was also informed that 'bushing' is just a 'sticking plaster' solution, radius arms at about 100 ballpark each is the way to go! Decisions decisions!!! I have OEM set up at the moment and to do it correctly would be about 700 all in! May 'can it' as it is a desirable not a necessity! Never know may win the lottery or premium bonds!
