So, I had a few issues with my interior lighting last month (Thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52215.html) which have all been resolved now. The cause of the initial problem was bad earth connections through the door switches. Easy enough.
The other issue was that the rear light hasn't worked since the truck came back from the garage and I now know why... They had not reconnected the loom to the light  but that's not why... When I reconnected the loom the fuse blew immediately and the second one did as well during testing. It turns out that the aftermarket LED panel that I fitted to replace the pathetic original filament bulb was shorting out and blowing the fuse.
I am sure I am not the only one with this style LED panel bulb fitted.  Click image to enlarge The cause of the shorting is the double sides 3M backing has over the past 2 years shrunk (heat presumably) and exposed the LED contacts on the mounting plate. Go check yours! Click image to enlarge Apart from fully functioning courtesy lights, the upside of this is that I now also have an appreciation of the novel skill that went in to building the 110 back in Sollihul... If anyone else has tried to fit this style light you will atest to the fact that getting the backing plate and front pannel to line up is a PITA. The solution is simple; a square of tape, a washer and a length of wire holds the backing plate in position whilst the front panel is fixed in place. Once done the wire is removed...
