Unless you are a Farmer or into that a kind of a thing, you may struggle to purchase mole smokes / gas as a civilian.
Real shame as it is a tried and tested method and works well. It will cost a few quid, but the employment of a 'Mole Man' is the way to go. We had moles on our field after it was re-sewn with grass. A guy off the farm brought some traps and tried his best, but moles are cunning little things and he failed miserably. After a few weeks, a professional mole man was employed and the moles were no more. He actually used traps rather than gas. I feel your pain  |

I use Talunex,
It does involve a 1 day course to be able to use/buy it, but had great results with it. No more Luna landscapes at the bottom of the garden!  80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

We use traps being organic in all but name, the traditional claw type seems to be better compared to the tunnel type. More of a faff than poisoning but also less environmental impact. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I suppose that's one good thing about my garden is that if you dog down more than 6 inches or so you hit sandstone.
No signs of the little blighters here. However planting anything involves jack hammers or pick axes 2014 - current ..... 2003 defender td5 90 (my car) 2009 - current .... 2005 zx10r |

We don't use poison due to stock and pests so it's traps only. Being an ex gamekeeper I've always liked trapping and enjoy the fieldcraft and also anticipation when inspecting trap lines. Steve.

clear one of the mole hills to the side and put a cup full of petrol in the hole always works for me. nobody is perfect but being Scottish is a start

This is the stuff I use, but only because I have about 20 canisters of the stuff. Like with Talunex, it is now restricted. The restrictions vary on who you buy the stuff from, but expect to be asked for your holding number(your land register number) and a certificate to prove you are competent in handling the stuff.
Great for Bunnies, too
