I’ve fed mine on both and don’t see much difference. I work in the industry and while there are nutritional differences, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a good quality complete dog food. And when I say good quality I don’t mean expensive.

The nutritional profile of raw tends to be higher in protein, which some dogs struggle with a bit but you can say that about dry foods as well; dogs prefer some over others. Remember that the marketing is aimed firmly at the owner not the dog and the “fresh” and “natural” elements of a raw diet are selling well at the moment. It can be inconvenient to feed raw, but if you want to, give it a go and see how you get on.

Give me a PM if you want any deeper info.

I feed my golden doodle raw meat ( woof! woof!)

When he came home from the dogs trust he was quite anxious and had diarrhoea so I put him on a rice and boiled chicken diet as advised by the vet. This made it worse so was told he is probably alergic to chicken. Was prescribed some Royal Canin Sensitive dog food which helped a bit but when I eventually tried raw, his stomach was the happiest.

He has been on raw food for some time now. I give him 80, 10, 10 as advocated by BARF (British Association for Raw Feeding or something similar). This is 80% raw meat, 10% raw offal and 10% raw bone. His poos are tiny on raw food.

Do you make it up or buy it, would like to try our dog on this. Peter

I feel a bit left out - I'd love a dog but circumstances prevent being able to look after one properly.

I've got six cats & a couple of 2.5' long fresh water sharks if they count (oh, & of course the Domestic Dragon).

Here they are in the transit tank just before being released into the pond - the bubbles are from the air pump, not the fish.

Great photos, Paul Thumbs Up

Had to double read the post. It was the Combine which was left out all night, not Barney? Or was he being employed as security Laughing

Here is Moley. Obviously she should be in the rear of the pick up, but the normal rules don't appear to apply to this mutt.

I know, the middle seat doesn't match the outer seats.....
