Battery Life and recommended replacements
The battery on my '08 90 is possibly showing signs of impending end-of-life, at least from the indications on my CTEK Battery Conditioner.

My question is, how long is a good life on the battery (8 years?) and if this is the end then are there recommended replacements and suppliers?

Thanks for your advice. Trevor Wright

My original one was replaced at 8 years.
I put an OE part in it's place.

I wouldn't be too upset at 8 years, dependent on your usage cycle. The best real test is a proper drop test.

In terms of replacements, stick with a half decent brand (varta, Bosch, yuasa etc) and pick the correct rating and you'll be fine.

Unless you have a winch or spend long periods of time using accessories with the engine off, then you may want to think about your options a bit more!
