They're a great rack Steve, and you'd pay £200 plus new, however that offset doesn't look deep enough for a Defender to me. I think that might suit a Discovery?

It would certainly test the strength of your v3 rear door gas strut!

Doh - hope the one I bought on fleabay earlier this week is the right one as the seller said it was Neutral

Also bought a 50mm spacer so should have the reach needed but we will see what the outcome is.

They are really good racks - that is a bargain, generally towball mounted ones provide much safer bike transport Thumbs Up 2020 P300 HSE

I hope it works Steve as I think they are one of the best towball mounted racks for the Defender with the rear door mounted spare.

If you go on their website you'll see what I mean regarding the offset. The version they recommend for the Defender has quite a crank in the tube as you'd imagine. Much greater offset than some of the other generic 4x4 offerings.

I would imagine that if you've got the right version then you won't need the spacer.

Either way, I'm sure you'll engineer something if you need to. Thumbs Up
