Has anyone fitted an internal roll cage? If I went for one of those in my 90 I would have the padding. A friend said external cages spoil the Defender classic look, which might affect sales, if I needed to sell ever and affect insurance valuing. Outer appeals to me more, but his points ring true somehow Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. i think you will struggle with space on an internal cage tbh. i nearly did it on my truck cab for the same reasons - to keep the lines but didnt and wouldnt look back after having a North Offroad et fitted.

you are welcome to come and sit in one of mine with cage fitted. older 90s but one with SD front and one with North Cage. Cheers

If you wanted to remove an exterior cage, Im guessing you'll be faced with a lot of holes to fill in. What would be the best way to do this?

Been having a re-think and maybe will get a part internal cage, probably http://www.safetydevices.com/expedition/pr.../276/1796/

Looks like the only internal without front seat brain bashing bars, and which would allow my front seat to be slid back on its Mud rails. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. I have safty device 6 points external roll cage.
the cage comes with blanking plates. so surely you can take the roll cage off and simply put the blanking plates on.
no holes to fill

also took me around 30 minutes last time to take the roll cage off. also toghether remove 28 nuts/bolts
