Cant see what the issue is with a jubilee type clip on a suction line. If you are particually adverse to that type of fitting i would advise you get a piece made up with a threaded JIC type fitting attached. I wouldnt tap and thread the housing to fit a fitting as the reduced bore size will no doubt cause pressure drop and possibly cavitation. 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

Jubilee clips are fine as long as you use the good ones, where the clamp is recessed into the screw part, so it's perfectly round.

jubilee clip are ok on the low presser side of the pump

thanks for the reply's
as I said its going on an offroad extreme landy, I had issues before on a previous pump where the hose came off in the middle of a section AND DUMPED ALL THE HYDRALIC FUILD, was hoping to fabricated a fixed threaded connection will once again try the good quality hose clamp........................................cheers |

make shore your hoses are in good order too
![]() had same problem with leaks on the power steering low presser side hose tall, replaced one length of pipe work and new jubilee clip leaks sorted ![]() |
