Rear door hinge
Just discovered that the mega rattle from the back is caused by loads of play in the rear door top hinge. On my old landys you could repair or adjust but there doesn't immediately seem to be a solution for the Tdci other than replacement.
Does anyone know differently please?

My rear door rattled, it turned out that the lock was not lined up correctly, and that the roof of my station wagon was not aligned properly, went in and had it sorted, water tight and no rattlenow Very Happy

I had this thumping noise for a little while and only just got round to spraying and fitting new door hinges, the newer design don't seem as robust as the old bolt and bush design. When removing two out of the three had sheared, luckily the door had been hung via the top hinge creating a cup in the joint or I would of needed a new door.

I would check immediately, just loosen the body side, one at a time and check the hinge is still connected.

I should have said I replaced just the top hinge and it is lovely now. All the rattles that I thought could be the rear seats or the rear windows were in fact, the top hinge all along.
Now in love with my Landy again.
