You are not the only one who thinks there may be more OEM power:
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic46413.html Maybe a dyno test and report back please? |

My heritage is sooooo much more spritely than my 2.2 110. I'd love to know the answer to this also.

Put them both on the rollers & see what the diff is,...if any!!...that is the only way,...far more reliable than the "bum dyno"?!

Do you get kangaroo 2nd gear ever in the 16 plate? That might show if the maps are different? Possibly?

My 90 Heritage was WAY smoother, NO rev hang, and much nippier than my MY15 90.
I asked JLR, Ryan etc etc to comment about the ECU ... Nothing different was the 'reply'... Frankly, I just don't believe that! ![]() They deny all knowledge... really frustrates me actually... as does the FACT that my 90 Heritage gearbox had NO nick between 1-2nd either! Just a totally different vehicle really! ![]() |

All i can say is i have both Defenders and they are different the Gear change is better but i do believe the jumping in 1 and 2 is down to driver error as you drive a defender more you learn to drive it out

Well i have got two 110 15 and 16 plates and they get requlary driven to the Alps and into London i have learn to drive them they are a very basic car you can't expect to drive them like a modern car.
I have had defenders for over 20 years and over 15 of them so perhaps i don't suffer the same problems as others . |

is there not every chance that the chaps on the line treated a lot of the last defenders to the 150bhp tune even if it should not have been on the vehicles? DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy |

I am sure they have the gearbox even feels different .
I do know that if the car is linked up to the landrover computer it may give the answers . It fact if a car has been chipped a error code gets flagged when linked to the main frame so a lot of information is available but the 16 plates have a different induction noise side by side they sound different i got the dealer to check the car but they found no faults . |
