Brick the Utility..
Evening all.

Short time lurker, long time luster..

Finally made the dream a reality.. with a 2.4 110 XS spec USW.

Utterly over the moon.

Recently returned from a holiday after covering 700 miles in 4 days. I smiled for the entire journey.

It’s pretty standard apart from the KBX grille, wing vents and light surrounds and terrafirma rear corner guards. I have added the genuine LR cargo barrier. Short term plans are to just get it to an even better standard, long term will just be a raised air intake and roof rack, for now… 2008 2.4 110 Utility XS.

Me too - there’s something just a little more special about the look of a USW. Obviously just my biased opinion Laughing 2008 2.4 110 Utility XS.

15 months ownership- 12 month update since starting the project thread.

It’s been quite a year..! I think I’ve done 15,000 miles or a touch more..

Loved every mile. Flew through the MOT with no advisories.

It is true that these are a never ending love affair.

So far I’ve changed the following:

.Oil and filter change
.New battery and starter motor
.New auxiliary belt, water pump, coolant, idlers and pulley
.New light switch
.Wipac rear lights upgrade

Parts that have arrived and waiting to be fitted

New wheel bearings
Genuine HD LR single piece rear drive shafts.

I think that’s all, for now….

Just enjoying getting all the maintenance things out of the way for peace of mind. 2008 2.4 110 Utility XS.

It’s certainly a labour of love. The list grows, so does the enjoyment.

I’ve ordered this OEM wheel bearing kit

It’s a little bit OTT and possibly on the expensive side. But I’ve never done a Defender wheel bearing, so I figured having the whole kitchen sink for the first time may help a little. 2008 2.4 110 Utility XS.
