This is probably the only part of my Modern German car I miss...

I've had my truck over 4 years now and still haven't had this fitted ( i would have to get it fitted as I would blow my car up with electrics)

at least 2 if not 3 trips to Annecy over 500 miles in a day and trips to scotland / lakes my foot really aches sometime Big Cry

What sort of labour costs for fitting? have you a link to thuis kit also please.

Thanks

Going to reconsider fitting cruise control again as they’ve just decided to set the legal speed limit back from 130 to 100 kph. Big Cry

Germany 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Baltic Blue
Hi Stacey
I guess if I did it again it might take a few hours. It's not hard if you know your way around the dash and how to solder and get a wire through to the engine compartment. I reckon a car hi-fi etc fitter could do it if you pointed them in the appropriate directions.
The unit I installed was this one:
https://www.mobilecentre.co.uk/puma-tdci-t...07-my20016
Mostly because Tim and his crew have given me excellent service in the past.
I don't know if they have a fitting service but they might be able to put you in touch with someone reputable in your area.
Alternatively, just ask if anyone on the forum can do it and lives near you. It's worked for me in the past Thumbs Up
Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Hello. Today install the cruise control. I did everything as in the instructions, color of cables checked and verified. I start the Defender, turn on the cruise control and make a few beeps. I can't go on anymore. Any suggestions that it may be wrong? Thank you http://www.clublandrovertt.org/index.php?a...ype=avatar

Great write up Thumbs Up

My install pretty much the same except

I used heat shrink / solder connections
I took the ignition feed from the white wire on the ignition barrel
I took the speed sensor from the transfer box instead of the dash cluster

Took about 2 hours to plan, 4 hours to install

Great modification

Good. How do I pick up the speed cable from the speed sensor? Thank you http://www.clublandrovertt.org/index.php?a...ype=avatar
