Side storage lockers
Hi all
I'm investigating the possibility of fitting a side storage locker to the rear of our 110, and have seen one that interested me.
however I've lost the link and wonder if any one can help me...

the locker was fitted in the standard place on the lower rear wings but had utilised the cut out section to become the door and thus was colour coded to the rest of the vehicle ..
it had black facing for the surrounds and joins and I thought it looked very stylish.

any one seen this and know where I can review it again ?

Standard place? In replacement of the sliding windows?

Front-Runner?

was it the front runner gullwing door. If your prepared to do a bit of trimming you could fit horse box lockers colour coded for a fraction of the price

Well that would put the Nakatanenga and Safari Equip rear lockers out.

Also Front Runner and Terrafirma are out

Just be careful not all of these rear lockers are compatible with rear bumperettes.

I have heard of this type of locker but am struggling to think who made it.

Just remember the old adage measure twice, cut once.

Was told a story about someone who carefully marked and measured everything up. Carefully cut the opening out offered the frame up which then promptly fell through the opening as he had cut it to the outside line.

I do not think it was a case of Embarassed more like a case of Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry Banging Head Banging Head . An expensive mistake to correct properly.

Try GMB. Excellent quality too.

www.gmb-mount.de and look for "Staukiste Radkasten hinten"

From the link it looks like the guy made them himself. His photoset shows the stages and might allow you to take them to a local fabricator to get made up/fitted?

I’ve just bought one from Safari-equip for my camper. Fat cat 4x4 also has them manufactured.

thanks I looked at the S-E lockers which are side opening; i'd prefer a drop down door. I'll now look at fat cat right now. 110 Defender 300tdi & Penman trailer with ally exped top and roof tent
