TD5 engine and gearbox swap out

Hi all

Now that my gearbox sounds to be on its way out, and along with the hard cold starting engine, I am keen on replacing both. While I'm at it, I have a Disco box with the diff lock internals which I'd like to fit.

So my question is - will I be able to slide all three out of the front end, or will it require splitting?

Also any handy tips regarding removal gratefully received!

if you lift the front of the car up you can swing the lot out but i'd drop the transfer box out first.

Righto, thanks for that, I have a Loadall at hand so could be done but was just thinking of the most straightforward way, seeing as I'll be on my own for most of it. Will give it a go dropping the t box out first, cheers!
