Drive Belt Replacement
Hi All,

A quick bit of help please! my auxiliary drive belt tensioner bust its bearings and the belt suffered a bit of damage so i have replace the tensioner and ordered a new belt.

The new tensioner arrived and fitted no problems, Unfortunately the belt is not the same story Sad I ordered via eurocarparts for a quick delivery but the item supplied is a good inch or two shorter than what came off !!!

The item they specified via online search is PN: 7PK1715 or a Dayco 202 77 1175 Drive Belt

I have a 2002 TD5 with AC ( Rolling with laughter never been used) so need to know what belt to get as there is no way the belt i got supplied is even close to fitting.

Help appreciated, Cheers..

Is there any numbers on the old belt

if so using new belt numbers as example it is 7pk so 7 grooves wide , 1715mm long

or order one bit shorter/longer so just knock off or add on what you think you need

normally one a few mill either way will still fit

Thanks munch! unfortunately there is no markings remaining on the old belt but that may be because they were eaten when the tensioner failed and it minced it all up Laughing

I will measure what remains of the old belt and see if I can get an idea on real length. Defender 90 TD5 County -

Buy a genuine belt, the're not expensive.

I've seen some pretty poor pattern part belts - not worth it.

You could consider a genuine one from the dealer (approx. £27) all you need to do is give them your reg / make / model.
Probably need two of you to fit it and easier if the viscous fan is off Wink

Right thanks all the correct size is indeed 7PK1801 with thanks to my local friendly garage for a quick supply... fits like a glove and easy enough to do solo when using a flexi head ratchet to push back on the tensioner!

I ordered an extra through advanced factors to add to the toolbox.. cheers martin! Defender 90 TD5 County -

I know this is a very old post, but I'd rather revive than go new.

Could someone confirm for me that this:

Is the correct auxiliary drive belt I'll need for my 2003 Td5 XS with aircon? Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg)
