United Kingdom 2002 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Epsom Green
Like lots of other respondents to this thread I also had a large voltage drop between the connector at the bottom of the track and the light unit itself. I tucked a length of wire inside the rubber seal and bypassed it in order to pass an MOT and have not seen any need to do anything else with it since.

got a couple of piggyback spade connectors, some 5 amp black wire and did the wire under the rubber type bypass, works and looks OK DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
