I phone 5 Pairing to the Alpine Head Unit
I am having trouble connecting my new iphone 5 to the standard Alpine head unit, my old Nokia pre smartphone works fine, my iphone does show in the Alpine receiver devices list, but when you try to pair, there is a message saying unsuccessful pairing before even being asked to enter 0000 code, any help would be much appreciated

Have you tried removing the paired items from both lists and starting from scratch? ... Whistle

It would also be sensible to shut down Blue Tooth on your iPhone and start it again when in your truck and ready to pair... Thumbs Up

Is it listed as compatible for your specific head unit? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

It works on mine, but as suggested above I had to remove previous pairings before it worked. 2.2 Tdci 110 XS CSW Corris Grey
Prince Harry's D3 (gone but not forgotten)
300 Tdi 110 CSW (gone but not forgotten)

I believe the Alpine units only accept up to x3 pairings as a max... Shocked  Rog... Mr. Green

Thanks, when I unpaired my old Nokia, (which I kept in the 110 all the time and was always charging when the ignition was on) the iphone connected OK, but I could not have the two paired at the same time as that was my plan Crying or Very sad

I think that pretty much goes for most, if not all in-car units... Cool

Would confuse the poor things to have two connected at once... Rolling with laughter

Always fun and games when I join the wife in her car (which used to be my daily drive) because the bluetooth always defaults to my phone, not hers. Drives her up the wall!
