England 2013 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Orkney Grey
130 2.2 turned up in the post...!
got delivered today!

like some of you may know i have been moaning a bit, been waiting since may for a factory order!
got to be honest, mod's wont flow like some topics on here but i will update when they come along.

i brought him from Paul at direct vehicle sales in Ripon. Never had to go their, all sorted via phone and delivered to mine. Worked out about 8% cheaper than what hardwards were offering.

so far compared to my old 2.4 110 hcpu its quieter and more refined. seems very similar on pulling away etc, but have not pulled the digger around yet so haven't made it work.

any suggestions please.
i am looking at some 110 side steps, double din next week hopefully, some clear lights maybe nas LED ones, i would love to change the wheels but can't justify getting rid of these new one's and i am guessing they are not worth much.....

cheers guys.
Greeni - "pretty" makes me think maybe "he" should be a "girl". still not decided on a name...
Mick - tree sliders sit too high, my labbydoors and misses need a half way height and i don't plan to off road, only field work for fencing. i didn't bother with a canopy as i would only take it off so i felt it was an expensive £500 pound extra... i am a landscaper so chuck tools and materials in the back.

Hey you have the best wheels there, especially on a 130; but I swapped my alloys for these as a no cost option...so I would say that Very Happy

Ajctraveler - cheers man, have you found what you wanted/same as you originally ordered?

Landroveraorak - thanks. p.s. i am jealous of your user name, thats what my misses says i am/need...!

Supacat - all will be expalained and shown in photo's etc, next weekend. a guy called phil (busdriver) makes the center consoles, very cleaver.
the wheels i do need to take the 3.5 tonne GVW of the 130 as i put a lot in the back so i would need alloys that are rated for that. i just feel the narrow tyres look lost on the massive size of the 130.

Big Steve - just looked, yer i like the original look of them. is it hard to wire in LED's?

cheers guys

About time Thumbs Up

Why not fit clear lights with led bulbs. I fitted led front side light bulbs so they look white like my led headlamps when on.

Dont get the cheap NAS lights they let in water and fog up from past experience.

I will have my tube side steps soon come over and have a look at the they sit lower than the sill.

Thumbs Up lovely mate, one of the best colours on a landy aswell. The wheels are worth quite a bit as there wolf rims so sell them and you could go for an xtech replica 130 with some nice saw tooth rims Thumbs Up CSK Automotive

Welcome to the 130 club, for side steps speak to Brendan, he had a set made for me that are 2.5" blelow the cills. My 10yr old daughter and short wife find them better than the LR steps. See post http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15732.html 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper
